It's been a while...

Hey there! ...been a while, huh?

Would you believe that I got busy? :) so much for posting every day!

So I bet you're all wondering what I've been doing while I've been...not blogging. Well, that might take a while to explain but I'll do my best. And don't worry! There will be GIFs to entertain you along the way.

The first thing I've been doing is flipping tables with my roommate, Kristin.

Really? No. But figuratively...

And this would be because school freakin sucks sometimes. It sucks for me because I'm suddenly being told that I probably won't be able to get a job in an area I came to my program for so I better make up my own career. And I don't want to make up my own f-ing career. It makes me want to flip tables. Or hit things.

Also, I didn't exactly slow down for my senior year, credits wise. I'm taking on the world, man. I imagine school sucks for Kristin because she's a chemistry major.

I have also been bowling...terribly. My bowling league started up again and I hadn't bowled since last spring. Let's just say...it hasn't gotten much better since it started. I'm usually at least a 140 average bowler. I'm at bowling as we speak, as I type this blog post on my iPhone blogger app, and my first game...was a 108. At least I broke 100. Also I haven't bowled a strike in the past 2 weeks. Which is depressing to say the least.

So, what ELSE have I been doing...

Working, like usual, every weekend when I'm not playing softball. Oh, and playing softball. And, of course, sorority stuff.

So, sorry if I haven't been entertaining everyone's lives recently. It's been a rough year.

But!

I there have been some bright spots. I was introduced to Gangnam style.

And I fell in love with Joseph Gordon Levitt.

And I saw like the best movie ever...

'Night! :)

UPDATE: The bowling got better...108...130...170!

YouTube Greatness Part 2

Guess what it's time for?
.....MORE YOUTUBE VIDEOS!!!

YAY! :D

Enough of that.

Okay, so the first video I want to share with you all today is...

"Drinking Out of Cups!"
I don't know what these people did to their friend before they recorded this, but we don't get to see it. What we do get to see is an animated lizard. There's also Mr. Balloonhands, Captain Tying Knots, and even some lighthouses and a seahorse.
...You'll understand after you watch this.
Proof that working at a bowling alley is great, one of the cooks showed me this once upon a time.

This next video is fairly old, but I still crack up every time I see it.
It's "The Landlord!"

"I put you on the streets!"

This next video, I'll be honest, not everyone is going to like. That's right, it's time for a cat video. :) meow!

First, is the Patty Cake Cats. It just makes me smile, what can I say. And if cats could talk I bet this is what they'd really be saying...while they played Patty Cake... PATTY CAKE!

And finally...
The last video of the day is of Aquire A Capella singing "I'm on a Boat".

If you are afraid of bad words, or just don't enjoy funny but slightly inappropriate songs, I wouldn't listen. Everyone else, enjoy!
Who else enjoyed the girl as T-Pain? Nice pipes lady!

YouTube Greatness part 1

Trust me everyone, you will thank me for this.

So today I have decided to talk about some great YouTube Videos. Why? I saw one, died laughing, and just wanted to share the greatness with all of you.

You're welcome.

So anyways, first up is A Bad Lip Reading of Twilight, "Edward & Bella." This is the clip I mentioned above. "Ever seen a girl's tongue?" "Yeah, it's wet and smells so bad."

You're extra welcome for this one.

Next up is a sorority girl classic.

Sh*t Sorority Girls Say! If you haven't seen this before, you are really missing out on some YouTube greatness. If you have, feel free to quote along. I won't judge.

And before you ask if any of this is true, the answer is....sometimes...

If you don't know who this next artist is, frankly, you should. He's not super famous, but I can easily call him my favorite solo artist. His name...is Eric Hutchinson. I knew there had to be a reason I liked him so much, but it all made sense after I saw this video. If you don't absolutely love him after this, we are no longer friends. (Not really, but it won't be a problem because everyone is going to love him. Or else.)

If any fellow Senior VTDers are reading, you may have noticed me nearly flip sh*t during seminar on Tuesday. It was because that guy playing a random concert played "Rock n' Roll" by Eric Hutchinson. Be happy I caught myself. :) Again, you're welcome.

I think I'll end with one last YouTube great for the day. I just saw this video today (Thanks Megan Kora!!) and it's just about one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Pay special attention to the elevator sequence. :) Anyways, our last YouTube video of the day is "Gangnam Style" by PSY

I these videos brighten up your day! I know they have mine! :)

See ya later!

VTD? And SO MANY GIFS!

Have you ever just wanted to smack a ho? I can't be the only one.

I mean really, sometimes I'm SHOCKED at the things that come out of some people's mouths. It comes out and I'm just like:

Really?!
And then, of course, my second response after the required maybe-she'll-realize-what-she-said-was-f-ing-stupid pause, is:
STFU.

Anyways, FYI, I'm hoping to update this blog daily as I know all of you reading would not be able to go through your days without that little bit of Kelsey brand humor.

Feel free to celebrate now.

Moving on...Today, I have decided to talk to you all about what my major is! Yay!

When I tell people my major is Virtual Technology and Design, the response I usually get is a blank stare.

Now, any other VTDers out there will agree that it is near impossible to accurately describe what VTD actually is. I'm not even going to attempt to impress you with a spot on description. In fact, you're probably going to get the default answer: "Um...well...it's like 3D graphics...kind of...but I don't have to do that! There's lots of things that I could do with it......like.....Video Games....or Pixar or Animation...or...3D...Graphics..."

The point is, I'm going to try. Just for you.

SO to explain, let me show you some of the stuff that I have done in VTD...
This was my Room Assignment that I did Sophomore year in Advanced Lighting & Materials. I seem to have done some of my best work Sophomore year...

Case in point...
Also done during Sophomore year....

(Yes Supernatural Fans, I based the car in the scene off of the Metallicar. You're welcome.)

Some other things I have done have included making a turn based, Final Fantasy-esque, simple block character game using Virtools with the lovely Erica Larson and Megan Kora, my partners in VTD crime, and creating an emotion environment that looked like Christmas.

We also do a whole bunch of other projects, some of which you might expect like working with game engines like Unity or Torque, and some you might not expect like creating our own business.

So there you go. That's kind of what VTD is, for those of you that were curious.

Well...that's all for tonight. If you really want me to talk about something post it in the comments and I'll try to decide whether or not to humor you. Otherwise, I leave you tonight with this lovely GIF of a Storm Trooper!

ENJOY!

Sweats...

Hey there. I'm Kelsey. I really should probably be sleeping right now, but I just couldn't drift away peacefully without this post.

I would love to start this blog off with some nice little fluff to gain readers and ease my way into the blogging world or whatever, however, the blog gods seem to have other plans for us.

I've just made the decision to never go out in public without looking decent. Not that I go out not looking decent, I'm just saying... I'm not some stuck up little sorority girl who has hours of time to primp and preen. I am a very busy sorority girl that could really care less if she looked absolutely perfect. I want to look good, but if I have ten minutes before I need to leave for class, then I have ten minutes before I need to be ready to leave for class.

HOWEVER....

As I have successfully completed my first two weeks of my senior year of college, I am once again being greeted by the sight of this:
Obviously I don't just see Jessica Simpson walking around campus, but I do see her attire. I'm not necessarily saying that sweats are a bad thing. But it's September. EARLY September. It's not cold yet. Wear normal clothes.

I have worn sweats to class before, maybe twice the whole time I've been in college. I was either really sick, or woke up ten minutes after my class had started. The point is, I don't make it a habit.

To everyone else on the other hand, it seems to be the thing to do.

I really don't care, they can do whatever they want! But sometimes I feel like I'm just like:
(Oh yeah, have I mentioned that I LOOOOVE GIFs? No? Prepare yourselves...)

Anyways, back to the point! I knew someone once that decided to stop caring what they looked like and all that jazz. And when I say they did not care what they looked like, I mean
THAT ^^^ kind of not caring.
So eventually it got to the point that they didn't shower enough. Ew.

The main point of this whole post/story/nonsense (other than the fact that I really wanted to use the  above GIF) is that every time I see someone in sweats that looks like they do not give any f*cks, I just have to wonder how bad they smell. I never want someone to be thinking that about me. :(

So that's the plan, blogging world. If you ever see me not giving any f*cks about my appearance, please remind me of this post.

Thanks :)
